Asset Management: Building a Foundation for Smart Decision

Cities across the country are faced with aging infrastructure and limited funding. The City of Fort Worth Transportation/Public Works Department (TPW) realized the need to understand where their assets were located as well as their condition to help prioritize their work and understand aging infrastructure. This presentation will focus on a City wide inventory and condition assessment of pavement and traffic assets as well as TPW’s efforts to implement an asset management software solution.
