Geospatial Management of Electric Transmission Projects with ArcGIS Applications

Southern California Edison has several construction projects in various stages of development and execution. To ensure common and consistent data across all projects while reducing cost and increasing efficiency through repeatable processes, we developed and implemented a database model with standardized schema named the Capital Project Data Model (CPDM). We will detail the implementation of the CPDM and how geospatial project data is managed consistently across all SCE capital projects.
