Abstract
Using GIS to Protect Wilderness Quality Lands in Colorado and Beyond
Track: Non-Profit
Authors: Alison Gallensky
Large natural areas unfragmented by roads are essential for preserving biodiversity. These areas also provide opportunities for people to renew their spirits away from the distractions of industrial society. Rocky Mountain Wild’s GIS expertise plays an essential role in many successfully completed and ongoing projects where coalitions of conservation organizations across Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region are working to protect wilderness quality public lands.
