Proactive Policing Using Web GIS

The Baton Rouge Public Safety Common Operational Platform (PSCOP) utilizes GIS technology to increase situational awareness, improve officer safety, and proactively deploy limited resources. PSCOP addresses the need for an efficient and accurate means to convey critical information and break down information silos inherent in the fluid operations of police organizations. PSCOP helps provide an overall view of crime trends by displaying past, present, and “future” crime incidents.
