San Francisco Assists Santa Rosa During October Fire With Evacuation Lookup App

San Francisco’s GIS team assisted the City of Santa Rosa during the first stressful week of the North Bay fires that devastated whole neighborhoods. The public, and the call takers at the Santa Rosa EOC assisting them, were trying to determine if a citizen’s address fell within a City-designated evacuation area. SFGIS configured and stood up an Evacuation Area Lookup application using ArcGIS Online and WebApp Builder for ArcGIS. Santa Rosa embedded the application on its Emergency Info website.
