We performed a series of robust geospatial analyses to inform aquaculture planning within San Diego Bay area, CA. Using a centralized geodatabase generated from federal and state data sources, recommendations for aquaculture infrastructure were developed based on the environmental condition requirements of likely candidate shellfish and macroalgae aquaculture species and associated gear types. Results indicate where aquaculture opportunity exists for specific species and gear combinations.
