Abstract
ArcGIS to Develop Sub-Surface Models of Ground Penetrating Radar
Track: Government
Authors: Zachary Nemeth
Ground penetrating radar (GPR) is a technology that has existed for many years in the geophysical sector for subsurface exploration and mapping; but has always needed a specialist to interpret the complex data. By combining spatially accurate 3D-GPR data with ArcMap, DIS has created a workflow that enables the GPR data to be converted into a sub-surface strata model. The model, a raster surface exemplifies the various changes in the layering beneath the surface in a tangible data model.
