Abstract
Using Esri Tools in the Boundary and Annexation Survey Quality Control Process
Track: Official Statistics and Census

Every year the U.S. Census Bureau conducts the Boundary and Annexation Survey. Tribal, state and local governments can review current boundaries and submit changes. Increased participation has meant challenges maintaining internal data quality standards when updating the MAF/TIGER System with participant data. Quality control has been made more efficient by using ArcPy and ModelBuilder. Using these tools allows the Census Bureau to verify more data faster while maintaining accuracy standards.
