The assessment of storage for new and existing hydro developments is important in reducing our reliance on fossil fuels. The award winning Rapid Hydro Assessment Model (RHAM) improvements now allow the assessment of hydro storage. Important environmental and social factors are considered and the amount of storage in optimized considering the value of storage compared to the cost to develop storage. To date, RHAM has been applied in Canada, Mexico and South East Asia.
