MonGeoCat-Discovering the Treasures of Mongolia’s Geological Archive Through GIS

With the goal to reveal the treasures maintained in Mongolia’s huge Geological Archive, the Mongolian Geological Catalogue system MonGeoCat was implemented in 2017. It facilitates finding documents, maps and data through a hybrid combination of a web-based GIS and a catalogue system, which are completely integrated. The system is open to the public and can be used both on desktops and through smart phones and tablets while in the field. Complementary modules allow field data collection.
