The Province developed a GIS based BC Emergency Management COP Portal to provide situational awareness within provincial Emergency Operation Centres during the 2018 Freshet. The goal is to have a single Portal for internal and external stakeholders by providing access to same information at the same time, where possible in real time to provide situational awareness at local, regional and provincial level.
