Leveraging ArcGIS to Map Cell Phone Tower Sectors in Criminal Investigations

Call Detail Records with Cell Site information provide tower locations and their sectors. Cell phone tower locations are commonly used by law enforcement to investigate criminal activity. Directional information, indicated by cell tower sector, is often not used to its maximum potential. The NYSP leverages ArcGIS Pro and ArcToolbox to produce maps that visually present call record data to investigators, prosecutors, and juries.
