Understanding the Geomorphological Status – Data Collection and Automation

Arup were commissioned to collect over 5,500km of geomorphological survey data using ArcGIS Collector and a range of automation tools. The information collected is informing river restoration across the whole of Scotland and enabling environmental agencies to regulate engineering activities on Scottish rivers. During the session, Katie will present the challenges associated with the data collection strategy and how Arup used the approach to plan and monitor the survey progress.
