Better Vector Control; From Paper Maps to GIS for St. Louis County, MO

GIS enabled by ArcGIS has been pivotal to solving the information needs for the St Louis County. The Vector control department that is responsible for monitoring infectious diseases spread via Mosquitoes, rodents etc, and contracts with the municipalities to spray the streets and water bodies. The process of tracking this whole operation was very archaic, and was still relying on paper trails both maps and requests to get the job done. Continued in extended abstract section...
