Adoption of Electric Industry Geoprocessing Workflows for MTA Transit Operations

This presentation will focus on the similarities between a large transit operation and an electric transmission/distribution operation, and how existing geospatial techniques and workflows can be adopted in a large transit operation. Geoprocessing workflows for load forecasting, capacity planning, asset management, right of way, construction, environmental management, inspection/maintenance management, outage management, logistics, fleet management, water detection modeling will be addressed.
