Abstract
Continued Maturation of BLM Data Quality and the Enterprise (eGIS) System
Track: Implementation Successes
Authors: Nick Hall, Jason Frels
The BLM is growing a multi-thousand user GIS enterprise with the goal of standardization, quality, and centralization. Challenges include how physically distributed the agency is and how different the priorities are between local and national offices. To help with growing pains, a team of 15 with a national focus were deployed. This session will offer insight to lessons learned, the complexity of the national roll-up, and highlight how improved data quality results in a more useful enterprise.
