Taking Utility-Scale Mobile GIS to Production at Southern Company

Southern Company is on a journey to bring Esri-based, utility-scale mobile GIS into production. They started in 2016 testing offline maps scalability, then pilot tested functionality and provided feedback for enhancements, followed by building the server and security architecture to support solution and the ArcGIS Enterprise services behind it. Southern Company expects to realize significant efficiencies from the utility-scale characteristics of its new mobile GIS.
