What Do You Do Again? Engaging Non-GIS Users

I just finished my first year as a GIS Supervisor at a new Company, and I was constantly asked what I did, shortly followed up by what is that. This question has plagued my career as though we see GIS everywhere, many don't notice it at all. So I set out to answer this question once and for all, for everyone. Using the platform of GIS Day, I was able to show and engage the rest of my company as to the power and potential of GIS beyond a printed atlas sheet.
