Using Mixed Reality for Asset Interaction and Management

The Auburn GIS division is taking underground asset management to a new level. Using physical devices like the Microsoft HoloLens and the Apple iPhone, the City is leveraging Mixed Reality technology to expose underground assets to end-users. Staff members are able to remain above ground as they view and interact with those assets using GIS data. Learn where the City got the idea, how the technology is improving their workflows, and what's on the horizon for the City's continued GIS innovation.
