The Balcones Canyonland Conservation Plan expedites permitting for incidental endangered species “take” to simultaneously safeguard habitat while allowing landowners to pursue development. Automating infrastructure project applications within ArcGIS in order to assess intersections with habitat zones improves efficiency during critical permitting periods outside bird breeding seasons, increasing endangered species preservation while facilitating continued growth in the Austin, Texas area.
