Integration of Business Systems and GIS Using the NodeJS/SocketIO Messaging Hub

HBWS deployed a point-to-point messaging hub using NodeJS/SocketIO to link the enterprise CMMS (IBM-Maximo) with the enterprise GIS viewer (Esri HTML/JS API). The integrated solution enables commands and data to be sent in a fast, secure, dependable and CORS-enabled manner between the WebGIS and Maximo viewers. The presentation demonstrates the value of using a simple messaging hub as an effective design pattern for integrating GIS with other independent enterprise systems. <br />
