Analysis to Visualize Long Range Outlook Using Analog Years

AccuWeather Long Range Forecasters use a number of weather data sources and models to generate a seasonal outlook. One source is analyzing weather station data in a set of analog years. Analog years are historical years that mirror closely to current conditions and can be used as one tool to predict future weather patterns. ESRI tools have enabled our team to build a process that generates map content to help visualize the potential monthly actuals and departures.
