Enhancing Public Safety Through Data Coordination

Denton County initiated a multi-agency effort to consolidate address and road data into a single dataset using database replication and ArcGIS Online applications. The replication with a local 9-1-1 agency reduces individual workloads and improves data quality. With minimal training, city employees lacking GIS experience use custom applications to add addresses as they are assigned. This workflow increases communication between agencies and empowers smaller cities at no cost to them.
