Wildlife Monitoring Using GIS-GPS and Remote Sensing on the Pueblo of Santa Ana

Paper will discuss the pueblo’s Wildlife Monitoring and Mapping methodologies using GIS, GPS and Remote Sensing. This includes the analysis of Home Range, Population Density, and Habitat modeling for Elk, Deer and Mountain Lions. The 50% Core Range locations were characterized using terrain-LIDAR, Vegetation (multispectral imagery), Precipitation (rain gauge), and Habitat (Drone imagery). Discussion on pueblo’s wildlife-habitat management practices and the implementation of a Wildlife Corridor.
