As part of the major repair effort for the Oroville Spillway Reconstruction, detailed geologic mapping of the rock foundation was required before placement of new concrete. Our team used UAV-acquired images to create georeferenced images so that mapping could be completed directly on the high resolution orthomosaics. In total, roughly 1 million square feet of rock foundation was mapped at 1:60. The field maps were digitized and creates a large gdb that documents the new foundation conditions.
