Abstract
Geospatial Collaboration to Build the U.S. Caribbean Fishery Ecosystem Plan
Track: Education
Authors: Cynthia Meyer
Developing the U.S. Caribbean Fishery Ecosystem Plan required corralling and analyzing a variety of disorganized data sources. The collaborative approach involved constituents from various organizations to compile a comprehensive plan supported by a geospatial database. In addition, we developed a GIS Story Map to enhance understanding, collaboration, and outreach. It encourages ecosystem based management approaches for the fishery ecosystem based on historic, present, and future conditions.
