In an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), the project flow from conceptualization through implementation optimize the project development work flow. Moving design decisions upstream as far as possible to where they are more effective and less costly. California DOT is utilizing IPD work flow, in order to utilize the emerging technologies such LIDAR point cloud solutions and utilization of ESRI ArcGIS Pro environment to implement Virtual Design Construction (VDC).
