Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations 16(1)(v) of the of 2014 for South Africa make provision for the submission of an environmental screening report to be submitted with an application for Environmental Authorisation. An environmental screening tool has been developed on the Esri Platform by the Department of Environmental Affairs together with Esri South Africa.
