Using GIS in Smart Grid CIM Data Exchange

The rapidly changing world of electrical distribution systems requires more than ever an accurate and effective integration of smart grid operational data via standardized format of IEC61970-301 (CIM). Presentation includes practical examples of using the extended ArcGIS electricity data model. Model provides high quality data for operational grid. ArcGIS-CIM adapter is presented that synchronizes data with advanced distribution management systems or other operational systems via CIM profiles.
