The US Forest Service's Forest Inventory and Analysis (FIA) Program conducts the national forest inventory of the United States. How does analysis and reporting adapt to a changing budget and operating climate while embracing new technologies? Simultaneously, the FIA Program seeks to improve program efficiencies and safety. Leveraging our significant geospatial databases with newly available digital tools, the FIA program can answer the public’s needs and the internal needs of program oversight.
