Operational Imagery for a Southern Pine Beetle Incident Using the Imager Server

The Forest Service in Mississippi and Alabama experienced a historic Southern Pine Beetle (SPB) epidemic in the spring and summer of 2017. The ESRI Image Service provided a means to deliver satellite imager to the incident response team in as little as one day after satellite collection. This provided information about the location and directional spread of active SPB for timber sales and stand exam personal that enable them to make timely decisions.
