WHIMS
Basic info
WHIMS stands for Wildfire
Hazard Information and Mitigation System.
Maps
Maps are an essential part of educating the public about wildfire
hazards and mitigation. An example map
shows where houses with
different roof types are in the Pine Brook Hills subdivision, just
west of Boulder, Colorado.
What you can do about wildfires:
Protect your home by creating "defensible
space".
