ArcView 2 has allowed transportation users to harness the sophistication of GIS
for many different applications, due to its consistant windowing user interface
and simplified methods for displaying and analyzing data.
The ability to customize the ArcView user interface has allowed complicated
transportation analysis tasks to be performed comparatively simply. Such
customizations mean that users relatively new to ArcView 2 can quickly start analyzing data, and those users familiar with ArcView 2 can perform more
sophisticated data analyses easier than with other GIS systems.
This presentation will highlight the interfaces developed for three
transportation projects:
This presentation will explore design and customization issues using demonstrations from the above examples, with particular focus on data aggregation, user interface design, and transportation data display methods.
