With the advent of powerful desktop GIS software packages like ArcView, new technical issues have arisen in connection with the implementation of multiple applications. Typically, ArcView applications are narrowly defined and are constrained by the type of user and data. This paper discusses the integration of specific applications that are nearly unrelated in analytical content but are related by functionality and spatial extent.
