RevPG Workshop

RevPG is a collection of ArcInfo Arc Macro Language (AML) modules, C routines, shell scripts and interface menus created by the U.S. Geological Survey for revising Digital Line Graph (DLG) data and producing maps. It has been adapted by Esri to run on a number of Unix platforms and is now available for free via CD-ROM and the Internet.

Among the RevPG capabilities to be demonstrated in this workshop are the following functions:

• Loading, registration and display of DLGs over DOQ images and combinant Digital Raster Graphic (DRG) and DOQs
• Map symbolization of elements by DLG attribute
• Update of symbology as attributes are modified
• Query functions and queued edit functions
• Automated feature conflict detection and resolution
• Generating electrostatic checkplots and final film plots
• Coming attractions like text placement, and map collar text

Time will also be allocated in the workshop for a question and answer session and to respond to specific demonstration requests.
