Testing Prototype K-12 GIS Software: The Case of GEODESY
Defining Issue: BGRG, in association with NASA, developed a GIS application for K-12 based on the ArcView product. Three schools were chosen across the United States to participate in the testing of the application. Each school represented a different grade, administrative structure (public vs. private), and subject area. This paper focuses on the successes of this testing process, as well as the perils and pitfalls associated with working with GIS in K-12 schools.
