Public/Private Partnerships: An Examination of the Census Bureau/GDT CRADA
Defining Issue: The Census Bureau and Geographic Data Technology both manage and maintain very large spatial databases. The purpose of the CRADA is to allow these two entities to join in a public/private partnership to research ways to gain efficiencies, so that the final result, data to end users, is improved. An outline of the goals of the CRADA will be examined and a status report of the efforts to date will be shared.
