Implementing a Public Access Plan for Your GIS
Since 1984, RUIS has been working to create GIS applications and databases with a goal of improving local government operations and providing better service to the citizens of the region. By remaining focused on that goal, we have accomplished many improvements in the delivery of government services but, until recently, little had been done to meet the demands of the public for direct access to RUIS. With help from advancing technologies, an RUIS Public Access Task Force with representatives from several City and County departments developed and implemented a successful public access plan for RUIS.
