Certification of GPS Data Accuracy
Probably the main reason for the popularity of GPS data collection for GIS is accuracy. However, it is very easy to obtain inaccurate GPS positions. This paper suggests ways your organization can set up policies, training, procedures, and documentation standards that instill integrity into the GPS data collection process, allowing the organization to "certify" the accuracy of its positional data.
