Use of ArcView 3.0 in NPDES Stormwater Permit Compliance Activities  Paper Text

ArcView Version 3.0 is ideally suited as a tool for use by municipalities and governmental agencies in meeting EPA's tough new NPDES stormwater permit requirements. The paper describes an ArcView Version 3.0 permit compliance system developed by Carter & Burgess, Inc. The system, now in use by the Florida Department of Transportation, allows spatial tracking and analysis of potential polluters and departmental compliance activities. The system integrates digital images of compliance activities, Delphi-based permit tracking forms, automated map sealing and production, and a sophisticated report generator. The heart of the system is a customized graphical user interface supported by over 5,000 lines of Avenue code.
