Multinational Data-Driven GIS with ArcView and MapObjects
Defining Issue/GIS Solution: Multinational companies and public service agencies require GIS data similar to what they have become accustomed to in the United States and other highly developed nations. The GIS data has historically been difficult or impossible to acquire. Nonetheless, the need and desire for this information continues to grow. This session will present the availability of detailed GIS data for several countries along with sample applications developed in ArcView, MapObjects, and Atlas GIS. Methodology: Browsing of various GIS data sets for Europe, Latin America, and Asia will introduce the session. Real customer applications using some of these data sets within Esri's ArcView, MapObjects, and Atlas GIS will show the audience how these software tools can be used to extract value from these data sets.
