Giselle at NESA
In 1997 NESA, which is Denmark's biggest distributor of electricity, started its operations with Giselle, a GIS system delivered by InformiGIS, the Danish Esri distributor in collaboration with Miner and Miner, USA. The presentation will cover the experiences drawn from this project, highlighting rationalization and setup of GIS competence in the organization. Furthermore, the business opportunities of further GIS applications will be covered, based on the internal marketing activities of NESA's IT department. Giselle is a classical ballet, and the project name reflects the dangers, trust, and grace of NESA's GIS story!
