COMPAS Delaware: Kent County Resource Protection Module - A Custom ArcView GIS Application for Local Land Use Managers

The Kent County Resource Protection Module is a collaborative effort between the local government and Delaware Coastal Management Program to improve local planning functions and provide needed information for the implementation and refinement of the County's comprehensive land use plan. The COMPAS process has been used to gather data collected by several state, federal, and local programs to address specific natural resource management problems. Kent County has provided a range of questions about the impacts of zoning and land use decisions on natural resources. To address these questions, ArcView GIS has been customized for a site review/preapplication module and a growth management module specifically written for local government use.
