Integrating Document Image Management with GIS

Powerful new capabilities for managing information can result from merging document image management technology with GIS. We will examine current technology and trends and look at some methods for incorporating spatial data. The examples will focus on Internet/Intranet applications using adaptive pattern recognition (neural nets) and concept retrieval (semantic nets). Esri software will be used as spatial filters and as document viewers.
