Land Cover Data Assessment and Applications Project
Kathryn KeranenThe following project is an integrated project that uses ArcView GIS Version 3.1 and ArcView Spatial Analyst. Develop and evaluate protocol for accuracy assessment of USGS land cover data products using TJHSST senior geoscience students for ground and historic data collection. Apply current and historic land cover data to an analysis of the relationship among impervious areas (as interpreted from land cover data) and water quality parameters at local watershed levels. Develop materials that can be used by volunteer and educational groups throughout the county in replicating the land cover product assessment and land cover GIS applications projects.
