GIS Environmental Success Stories
Marshall MayerPresentation: Representatives from environmental and conservation organizations will present GIS "success" stories, made possible by hardware, software, training, and support donated by the Conservation Technology Support Program (CTSP). Defining Issue: Complex environmental problems threaten our long-term existence. Solving these problems with citizen participation and collaboration requires an "ecological" view of reality and holistic information management. CTSP is a partnership among Esri, Hewlett-Packard Company, The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, and the Conservation GIS Consortium making collaborative solutions possible for local conservation and environmental groups and enabling them to apply global-level technology and thinking to local issues.
