Method Revolution: Using GIS for Geological Maps Production in Poland Paper Text

This paper will describe the state and experiences of the program of database production and printing geological maps. ArcInfo and Oracle systems are used for creation of database and preparation of geological maps for printing in the Polish Geological Institute (Survey). This program is continued from 1994 and concerns basic geological mapping at the scale 1:50,000. Now is a time for applying our knowledge and experiences in other stages of map production (e.g., in the field or to analyze geological data [small databases of a single geologist]). We use ArcView GIS Version 3.0 software.
