Adventures in ArcView GIS - On-screen Digitizing of Soil Maps Paper Text

ArcView GIS provides easy-to-use and affordable software to assist in the arduous process of automating soil maps. Using a variety of themes as a reference, the quality and consistency of soil maps can be improved. However, ArcView GIS editing tools fall short of ArcInfo ARCEDIT. What are the pros and cons of switching to ArcView GIS methodologies? A comparison will be made between automating soil maps using ArcInfo versus ArcView GIS.
