Developing an Environmental Database
Marshall PlantsThis paper will convey what steps were taken to develop an environmental database for the Gadsden-Etowah Metropolitan Planning Organization (Gadsden, Alabama). It will particularly focus on steps taken to acquire data, data sources, making contacts, and so forth, and not on the technical side of actually entering the data. It will contain some interesting information that may be helpful to small governmental or private organizations as they implement a GIS.
