Des Lauriers & Associates, Inc., a developer in the Esri Business Partner Program, has developed a modular software package called GeoTMS (Geographic Town Management Systems). The application is being used in several Massachusetts communities to administer a loan program for addressing septic system compliance. Each septic system must be prioritized based on its proximity to environmentally sensitive wetlands. A parcel and its relationship to flood zones, ponds, streams, and so forth, can be viewed through GeoTMS, which displays GIS data using MapObjects. Using the GIS data, GeoTMS generates priority lists instantly.
